El Diablo Recipe

At home, in the summer Lola’s favourite is a spicy cocktail,

El Diablo.

It is a twist on the classic Tommy’s Margarita from the famous San Francisco bar of the same name…

All you need is:

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Muddler – or rolling pin
  • Strainer or sieve

El Diablo

2/3 sprigs Coriander

2.5cm Red Chilli

12.5ml Agave Syrup

25ml Fresh Lime Juice

50ml 100% Agave Reposado Tequila

Muddle your chilli and chopped up coriander stalks in the strainer with a splash of lime juice

Add all ingredients to a shaker, fill it with ice, shake violently and horizontally until you go purple and the metal of the shaker is starting to frost. 

Pour over fresh ice into one of Lola’s tumblers.
